Judge Randall J. Davis Announces Retirement

County Court Judge Randall J. Davis, the first judge to sit in the City and County of Broomfield has announced his retirement effective November 30, 2006.  Judge Davis was largely responsible for the day-to-day administration of the courts of the Seventeenth Judicial District located in the City and County of Broomfield.  He was appointed to serve in 2001 after a distinguished career as a magistrate and municipal court judge.  For information on the application process to fill the vacancy created by his retirement, please read the press release.

Seventeenth Judicial District Court Judges and Magistrate Lead Multidisciplinary Juvenile Training

The Colorado Judicial Branch, the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center, the University of Colorado School of Law and University of Denver College of Law have partnered to create a new multidisciplinary training of law students.  Judge C. Agreement Reached to Protect Children in the Seventeenth Judicial DistrictThe courts of the Seventeenth Judicial District, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Adams County Sheriff's Office, all Chiefs of Police within the district, and the Directors of the Adams County Department of Social Services and the City and County of Broomfield Department of Health and Human Services have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to permit national background checks of persons who are potential emergency placements for children as part of the investigatory function in dependency and neglect cases.  For more information please review the press release.  To read the Memorandum of Under standing, click Here.
